Whitney’s City

3 01 2009

I am somewhat of a fan of The Hills – I’m not the avid-can’t-miss-an-episode type fan, but I am the type to watch the whole season in reruns if I miss an episode here or there. So I’m obviously excited about The City – Whitney’s spin-off – cus let’s face it, The Hills was getting kinda bland with Lauren’s eye rolls and silent stares, Spencer & Heidi’s constant fighting, and me hating Lo and wishing Audrina had more of a storyline…

Anyway, Whitney always seemed bland on The Hills but on The City, you see more of her own person. Cute nice girl not to be fucked around with – she’s always watching her own back, she’s a smart girl. Now she’s working with “socialite” Olivia, who I know is there for the drama, since she keeps trying to put Whitney down and get her upset.

There’s a boy named Jay who looks so much like some teenage heartthrob actor whose name I don’t know (cus I’m not a teenager), but he’s kinda hot in the Australian rugged long-haired sexy kind of way. But I find like her show is like a cheaply copied reality version of Sex & The City.

Whitney in New York is fine, it’s fun, lots of city shots, lots of ‘hip’ restaurants that paid to get into the show. And after all is said and done, the show may be a success but I’m worried about New York. Will the city get trashed into this bubble-gum princess hollyworld?

I hope it won’t lose its’ dirty grittiness, it’s chic and hipness, all because of MTV….

Um, so did Audrina move out?

13 05 2008

Last night’s season finale of The Hills really left much to be discovered.

It looked like Heidi fucked up majorly and didn’t even show up to take the private jet back (idiot).

Lo & Lauren continued to love each other.

And it showed Audrina looking at a sick new apartment, yet it didn’t show what she did about it.

So we can basically say it showed nothing new. Ugh. Let’s go new season!!

Tsk, tsk, tsk

Last night there was a huge blow out on The Hills… Jason, Lauren, being jeered on by Heidi & the Evil Spencer. Brutal, and I also think it’s very sad that Lauren looks as if she would like to start something up again with Jason, but the next episode preview shows us that he is engaged to somebody else. Oh, that sucks.

Audrina needs to stop messing around with Justin Bobby, and Whitney needs to be on the show more! I love Whitney, she looks like she’s so judgemental in real life but she holds it all back to be nice. LOVE her! Can’t wait til next week!

Not Enough Drama?

21 08 2007

Watching The Hills last night, I was a little disappointed. I had expected there to be more drama, thanks to the previews that they keep running. But last night’s episode left more to be desired, really only showing Audrina trying to figure out things with her ex, Justin Bobby, and Heidi reclaiming a little sense of independence and painting over the “mural” of spraypaint on the wall. I think I care more about Whitney and Lauren, which really had no point on the show last night. Ah well, can’t wait til next week!

Fake as His Smile

A little The Hills segue last night, watched it, was SHOCKED by Speidi’s engagment with that UGLY fake ring of his that he picked out at some airport gift shop. Brutal, and really, he didn’t actually say the words “Would you marry me?” He babbled on some other bullshit which Heidi ate up with such eagerness it makes you throw up a little in your mouth. And almost any good boyfriend would try to fit the ring to your finger, Mr Hollywood.

Luuurrvvv Whitney last night – the most honest girl on that whole show – NO! Love it. Audrina is gorgeous beyond words, and poor poor Lauren. Can’t wait for the season to get on with itself!
